And how about Anna? Do you aspire to be Anna Wintour?

Alright! Alright! Make fun of me....Thursday can be designated movie trailer day :) I found the trailer for The September Issue (here!) and I had to include it! It has: a) Fashion, b) Vogue, and c) The Ice Queen (....jk! I heart you, Anna). She looks absolutely fabulous and I have a few little buddies that got sneak previews. All of them are singing its praises!

Appropriately, it i will come out this September. I'll stand in line for that! See you there aspiring fashionistas....

Enjoy!

Who doesn't aspire to be Alex Bledel?

I'll just let the video below speak for itself. As a personal fanatic of Gilmore Girls, this movie trailer made me warm and fuzzy inside. Also, since I have one more semester of college left (and most of my friends have already graduated) we can all feel for her character. I hope you enjoy the trailer as much as I did! My friend emailed me this link, subject entitled "So this trailer pretty much sums up my life...". Thanks M.Nelson! This sums up all of our lives, for the most part.

Happy Thursday Bloggers!

(Edit: Movie will be in Theaters Aug. 21st!)

Food for Thought...

"Love works in miracles every day: such as weakening the strong, and stretching the weak; making fools of the wise, and wise men of fools; favouring the passions, destroying reason, and in a word, turning everything topsy-turvy."
--- Marguerite De Valois

Up! Up! And Away!...{The High Line}

Everyday when I am walking to work there are crowds of people in tour groups learning about the West Village. I am always slightly annoyed and jealous. Annoyed, because they are taking their sweet time while I am speed walking to work. Jealous, because I want to be on vacation too! Let’s be honest, living in places that have high traffic tourism is rough – you always want to be on vacation.

Well, the most recent (and growing) addition to our beautiful skyline is a walkway that probably has the best views in all of Manhattan: The High Line. I believe you can enter from Gansevort, 14th, 18th and 20th streets. To my knowledge, I think it is supposed to grow to 34th street. There is also a rich history to The High Line. Above I’ve put a video that gives more details and on The High Line website there are tons of videos and images to go help you procrastinate whatever your actually suppose to be doing. :)

I personally, enjoy anything that is in the city that can momentarily take me away or remind me how much I love living here. I think I am going to take a walk this weekend – who wants to join?

Twitter Quote...Tweet! Tweet!

"You know you are getting old when you wake up at 6 for no reason and then sit down to do a jigsaw puzzle that is a picture of cats." - Christina Applegate

P.S. Don't you love when actors turn out to be as funny in real life as they do on screen? Me too! (That is the puzzle she made!)

There Is No Place Like Home [Click! Click!]...{Kathryn Amberleigh}

On our lazy Father’s Day Sunday (without our fathers-- Missed you Dad!), my fabulous roommate and I went shopping in Soho/Nolita area. She is a master at finding great stores with wonderful finds. Well, she introduced me to the shoe designer Kathryn Amberleigh and while M-Panda has the wonderful pair shown below (except in a beautiful green), I believe my next purchase will be the red ones shown above. What do you think? Too Kellie Pickler?

Best Wishes,

Hopeful Romantic...{Lockets}

Did any of you seen the Illusionist? It’s one of those great date movies. It’s visually intriguing and has a romantic twist that will have all the girls hooked, while the guys can aspire to be as badass as Edward Norton is in this film. I was so excited to see that someone on Etsy is selling the necklace that embodies the love between the lead male and female roles in the movie. Click here and you can see how the locket works! What girl wouldn’t love this beautiful keepsake?

In general, I love lockets. I think it’s probably my obsession with Jane Austen love affairs that keep these old fashion love fantasies going. I found some other great lockets that are probably more reasonably priced, also from Etsy designers. The wonderful part about Etsy is that anyone who sells on Etsy makes it themselves. While I am not as crafty, I can appreciate and aspire to be so by shopping on the site! All the while, supporting artists that are not as well known. Helping everyone make their dreams come true one purchase at a time!

$26.50, buy here!

I think this one is my favorite :) $34.00, buy here!

what about this one? $18, buy it here!

Who is your favorite Etsy designer? Pass it a long and I’ll feature it on the blog.

Happy Shopping Bloggers!

Inspirational People

I am pretty much a sucker for anything cute, romantic and unconventional. As a difficult, complicated, yet hopeful woman I love hearing stories of couples that break the mold. Like this couple! They were in the wedding section of the New York Times about a week ago and I've been dying to share it with you! The fact that I read this section, is yet another example of my hopeless romanticism.

If you love pretty things as well, check out this blog, this where I got the beautiful image above.

Happy day dreaming bloggers! :)

Wishes Do Come True ... {Jimmy Choo}

The Cut just reported the best news all summer! Jimmy Choo isn't just doing a shoe line for H&M, but also accessories and clothing. Coming to stores Nov. 14th -- will you be skipping class/work to stand in that long line on 5th Avenue?

I won't even pretend like I won't be there sipping my coffee early in the A.M. with credit card in hand! See you there!

This Week's Fashion Wish...{DSquared}

While I meandered through Style.com, I found that I fell in love with Dsquared. The runway show exudes a lifestyle, not just his designs. A lot of designers strive for this, but I really think the designers behind Dsquared have really embodied a generation and a customer that lives a certain way. That’s what fashion and marketing is about. I just love how they’ve reflected that in their runway show.

Here are photographs (taken by Marcio Madeira) from their Ready-to-Wear Spring 2009 show. I loved so many of the looks that I ended up having many fashion wishes this week!

Which is your favorite look?
