Happy Wednesday! The weekend is almost here so here are a couple interesting links to keep you going for the rest of week. Some great stuff here! Above I've put a happy song that brightens my day every time I hear it. A good friend of mine and I have made this our 2010 anthem! It's so hopeful. Just the tune makes me smile! Hope it brightens your Wednesday work day. :)
Hello readers! I just wanted to write a quick post about my favorites from the Golden Globes this Sunday. What do you think? And who were your favorites?
Here's a wrap up of things I've seen on the web this week that I thought were worth a second look. Above is a photo of Glee's Lea Michele at Fox's Winter 2010 All Star Party. Doesn't she look adorable? I am dying to read more about these actors. It's such a great show!
Enjoy the links below! The weekend is ALMOST here...
(From Top to Bottom: She Can Afford Anything, No. 15, J and No.11. All Images borrowed from the Ban.do Website)
I originally came across Ban.do while reading one of my favorite blogs, Cup of Jo by magazine writer/blogger Joanna Goddard (check out her blog it’s fabulous!). I since have bookmarked these beautiful headbands and have constantly gone back and forth about which one I could most likely invest in. They have a wide range of prices and recently came out with their I heart Ban.do Line, which less expensive than their other lines.
Above I am showing four of my favorites: one from their Ban.do Black Label (She Can Afford Anything), one from their Ban.do Label (No.15),one from their I Heart Ban.do Label (J) and finally my absolute guilty pleasure from their bridal collection (No.11).These headbands are so detailed and give a whimsical and playful feeling. This takes any girl back to a place where she is playing dress up in her mom’s lipstick and shoes. What grown up girl doesn’t want to go back to that carefree place?
My birthday is coming up and I am thinking I could probably get away with wearing one of these without anyone teasing me about how ridiculous I look… since it will be my birthday and well, you have to be pretty cold hearted to make fun of someone on their birthday! These headbands have been on my wish list for quite some time now. I think I just need to give in!
I am not sure where you are reading from, but I am writing from New York. And it is freezing here! The wind is the worst thing during the cold winter months. As my mother, boyfriend and friends can attest, I have huge issues dressing weather appropriate! I usually find a cute winter coat every season, but hats and shoes are my biggest dilemma. So this week we are tackling it!
Above, I've found some adorable winter hats that almost every girl I know could pull off! I've put all the details below, but my favorite is the Wool and the Gang kit. Net-a-porter has a couple different colors and the company sends you the wool so you can knit your very own scarf, hat, gloves, or leg warmers. That would be such a great gift -- for yourself or a shivering buddy.
What are you warming up with this season? I am still searching the streets (and web pages) for the perfect winter hat! I know a tad late, but thus is the life of a procrastinator! I'd love your help... suggestions please....
Well, stay warm in the frigid weather. Have a great Monday, readers!
In December NBC aired a show called “Sing Off.” Hosted by Nick Lachey and judged by Ben Folds (a well known pianist), Shawn Stockman (from Boys II Men – Yay!), and Nicole Schrezinger (from the Pussycat Dolls), the show was a huge hit and gave a new angle to a cappella – for those of us who were left in the dark about how cool it actually is. There were 8 contestants from all over the country and of all age ranges. Above I’ve posted my favorite performance by the winners, Nota from San Juan, Puerto Rico. It’s truly amazing the talent that these men have and how great the song sounds. They even threw in a little Puerto Rican flare by switching it up at the end with the batacha mix up!
Although I got this video from YouTube, you can go here to the NBC site to see most of the performances. The show was so much fun to watch! I’ll be the first to admit, I called my mom a super dork for even suggesting I should watch it. But as we all know, mother knows best… and now I am the super dork for how much I love it! I can’t wait for another season.
Enjoy dancing and singing to these boys! Happy Sunday readers :)
I am college student in New York City, aspiring to make all my dreams (fashion, home and career) come true. Can a girl have it all? Stay tuned and we'll find out together!
